Sweet Success!

So Randall's cousin Kalli has a birthday coming up next week and her theme is Hot Pink with Zebra stripes. I thought it would be fun to make a cake that went along with her theme. Now I've never before even made a basic cake from scratch, nor decorated a cake with anything but plain ol' frosting and candles...but since I watch food network all the time, I figured it can't be that hard right? Well...I was wrong! I spent Friday night making the fondant to top the cake, and literally ALL day Saturday working on the silly cake. I finally finished it up at about 11 last night! Unfortunately, this was just a practice run for next week! But, I was proud of the overall outcome and I think I will be much faster and better the second time around.

Easter!

We started off our Easter fesitivities at an egg hunt hosted by Randall's boss. It was all new for Tytan, but he caught on quick and loved it! Thanks Sharon for the fun day!

Tytan enjoyed all the goodies he got in his basket!
Then, we had an egg hunt at my parents. The company was great and the food was delicious. Thanks Mom & Dad!

Easter Sunday came and we visited with my family first. Tytan loved his basket from Nana!

Then we took pictures with all the McClure grandbabies. My mom made these BEAUTIFUL dresses for all of the girls and bought these handsome outfits for the boys. They all looked so cute together! Mom, you're seriously amazing! We loved our Easter outfits!
Of course we had to get Easter Family Pics. Aren't my boys so handsome?

Tytan's face in this pic cracks me up! I had to post it. He's always making mommy smile!
Then we met up with Randall's Family. By this time the babies were tired and ready for a nap, so picture time was....well.....see for yourself:
Finally, I decided to post a pic of the Easter goodies I made. These are derived from a delicious treat called "Cake Balls" which I've been making forever. However, the idea to dress em up like this was all thanks to Bakerella. Thanks for the creative idea!

Best Buddies

Have you ever seen any two boys who are cuter and happier than these?

Where does the time go?

It seems like only yesterday that we brought Tytan Arona Faiva home for the first time. We enjoy every moment we get to spend with our little MonkeyBear. It's hard to believe he is almost 7 months old now! He has been able to hold his bottles while feeding for a couple of months now. These are some pictures of some fun developmental milestones he has reached in recent months. We love our big boy!
